Smoke Detector Troubleshooting Why Does My Smoke Detector Beep When I Switch Off The Lights?

Why does my Smoke detector beep when I switch off the lights? - smoke detector troubleshooting

Every time I turn on the lights in the room, the smoke detector begins to beep intermittently. Do not seem to understand that if I'm in the room, no sound, but after turning off the lights and go to sleep a little later, starting ring. Can anyone explain, or has the same problem?

If the proposed what Bobby is true, then the sensor is not connected properly. It is required by the rules in order to be installed at a constant power, not redemption. You might look at to decide if the battery switch and see if the unit change in the leg instead of a leg warm.

Just a guess ... But it seems that the smoke detector is turned on your light in the room. If so, when you raise the lights, pull the inflow of the smoke detector (which probably switch to battery backup) power.
